Indiana

NEPP is an approved Transition to Teaching program in the State of Indiana
Transition to Teaching is an abbreviated program of pedagogy to prepare career professionals with bachelor degrees to teach elementary education, secondary classes, or all-grade classes.
Candidates applying for admission to a T2T program are no longer required to pass the Indiana CORE assessment content test prior to program admission unless using the “bachelor’s and passing the test” T2T admission option.
Candidates must be hired by an Indiana School in order to qualify for the T2T permit.

Indiana PREREQUISITES

Elementary Education
Candidates, please check your path to entry (College Transcripts are required prior to an acceptance letter being issued)
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution with a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0-point scale; or
  • Both a baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution with a grade point average of at least 2.50 on a 4.0 scale, and five (5) years of professional experience; or
  • Both a baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution, and proof of passing state approved content area examination(s) in the subject area.
Secondary Education
Candidates, please check your path to entry (attach supporting evidence to the back of this packet):
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the subject that the individual intends to teach with a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0-point scale: or
  • Graduate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the subject or related field in which the person wants to teach; or
  • Both a baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the subject area that the individual intends to teach with a grade point average of at least 2.50 on a 4.0 scale, and five (5) years of professional experience; or
  • Both a baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution, and proof of passing state approved content area examination(s) in the subject area.
Additional requirements must be met prior to starting the program. Evidence of completion must be submitted.

Tennessee

Noble Education Initiative's (NEI) New Educator Prep Program (NEPP) is an approved Out-of-State Educator Preparation Program for the Tennessee Achievement School District & Tennessee Public Charter School Commission.
NEPP will support you through the process of earning your Practitioner I License. The Practitioner license is renewable for3 years but, must be applied for each year.  In order to receive a Practitioner II License, the PLT exam for your grade band is required and any reading requirements must be completed.

New Educator Prep 240 Tutoring Program (NEPTP) Includes:

  • Assistance is setting up a TN Compass Account
